Beth Waters' performance on March 28th at Cafe Trieste will be a benefit for Skyler Smith, a four year old child with brain cancer. Skyler was just recently diagnosed with brain stem cancer, called Diffuse Pontine Glioma. This area where a very large tumor is, affects breathing, swallowing, vision, and other major functions.

The Smith's have been friends with Beth for 10 years and are fans of her music.

Beth was five months pregnant when she last performed at her "This Little Piggy" album release party in January 2007. After this show, Beth began a well-deserved break from music so she could concentrate on pregnancy and family life.

On May 10th, 2007, Beth gave birth to her first child, a beautiful little boy named Wyatt Richard. Baby and mother are both in excellent health. Little Wyatt is now almost 9-1/2 months old and is a full-fledged cruiser. He has 8 teeth already and a penchant for piano playing and bell-ringing.

Feeling the music bug again, Beth has booked her first performance in 2008 at the Caffé Trieste in Berkeley CA. She will be accompanied by percussionist Ricky Carter.
